FAQ

How the partner program works — every operational question answered.

What does it cost to join the partner program?
Nothing. There is no signup fee, no subscription, and no minimum commitment. You earn from your first successful referral. The program is designed to be zero-risk for partners.
How do referral fees work?
You earn a fee on every engagement that proceeds to assessment or capital offer. The fee structure depends on the engagement type — broker-assisted filing, CIT litigation referral, or claim assignment — and is outlined during your partner setup call.
Do I need to be a licensed customs broker to join?
No. Trade attorneys, freight forwarders, accounting firms, and trade consultants all qualify. Licensed customs brokers have an advantage because they can pull ES-003 data directly from ACE, but any professional who serves importers can partner with us.
Will you disintermediate my client relationship?
No. You retain the client relationship throughout. We work behind the scenes to provide assessment infrastructure and capital partner access. Your client sees the assessment as a service you facilitated. White-label options are available for larger brokerages.
How long does partner onboarding take?
48 hours from your partner setup call. We provide screening templates, referral workflows, email templates for client outreach, and direct access to the partner portal.
What data do I need to provide for a referral?
At minimum: your client's company name, contact information, estimated annual import value, and the countries they imported from during the IEEPA period (February 2025 through February 2026). If you are a customs broker, the ES-003 report from ACE accelerates the assessment significantly.
Is there an exclusivity requirement?
No. You can work with any number of assessment providers, refer to any attorneys you choose, and serve your clients however you see fit. There is no exclusivity clause in the partner agreement.
Can I white-label the assessment?
Yes. Brokerages with 50 or more importer clients qualify for white-label options where the Impact Assessment is delivered under your firm's branding. Details are available during the partner setup call.
What happens after I refer a client?
We handle everything from data collection through assessment delivery. We coordinate with the importer's customs broker for ES-003 data, run the entry-level analysis, map recovery paths, and present options to the importer. You receive status updates and earn when the engagement proceeds.
How do I track my referrals?
The partner portal provides real-time status on all referrals, including assessment progress, engagement type, and fee accrual. You have full visibility into the pipeline.
What compliance requirements apply?
We do not practice law, act as customs brokers, or provide tax advice. The partner program is structured as a referral relationship. If your jurisdiction has specific referral fee regulations, we work within those requirements.
Who operates Tariff Partners?
Tariff Partners is operated by Tariff Solutions — a claims advisory and acquisition firm with over 20 years of federal claims recovery experience. The network also includes tariffresolution.com for direct importer assessment and tariffbuyouts.com for immediate capital through claim assignment.
